Kill people from all over the world!
We've all played a 2d spaceship game such as Asteroids or Defender at some point in our lives. But have you ever played one where the enemies (or asteroids) are real people from all over the world fighting back? Our slogan "Meet people from all over the world... Then kill them!" still lives up to its meaning today.
Most the servers themselves have relocated to the United States, but SubSpace still attracts thousands of players worldwide. Players from countries like: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Estonia, Ukraine, Isreal, India, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Brazil.
Continuum Upgrades SubSpace!
Continuum is a new client for SubSpace that was released back in 2001. It was coded with total player and server customization in mind.
This has allowed servers to create not only a spaceship game, but to clone games like Infantry, Counter Strike, and Super Mario just to name a few. This gives our players more than they could have ever imagined, and it is all in 1 simple package. Almost every graphic is replaceable by the zone, allowing only your imagination to be the limit.
The client interface itself can be customized with skins, while players can also modify their in game graphics. Ships, weapons, screen icons, and event font can easily be modified by players to customize their experience.
Zones! Zones! Zones!
SubSpace, while originally starting out with just a few servers to choose from, has grown into a thriving community of 40+ active servers. All these servers have become unique in their own ways, tweaking the default settings, adding graphics, and creating entire new and unique gameplays. This benefits players in the fact they'll never run into any 2 zones that are the same.
So why download it?
Once called The most addictive game you don't know about, SubSpace will be next impossible for you to stop playing. You'll find yourself quickly immersed in a community that is beyond the game in so many ways. Even when you find yourself not playing, you'll be in spectator mode chatting & trash talking. We promise that once you play SubSpace, you won't ever be able to uninstall it without coming back again.
